1) On Sin
* Lesson one: Premeditated sin is dangerous
* Lesson two: God prefers a right heart over right practices.
2) On Leadership
* What has led the people to where they are: corrupt leaders
* False religion and idolatry happen because of bad leadership. And leaders will be called to account.
3) On the Promise
* From Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, will come a ruler whose coming forth is from of old.
* God works through what we would overlook so his power and wisdom are evident and he gets the glory.
So now what?
* You may feel like an unlikely choice for the gospel and for this church. That is the point. Rely on the Spirit, speak, serve, and open your home—God builds his kingdom through people we would not choose.
