God
* The gospel begins with the sovereign Creator.
* He made the stars, mountains, wind, light, and sea.
* What He creates belongs to Him; He sets the standards
Man
* Human nature is rebellious from the start.
* Israel rejected God’s rules: they trampled the poor, took bribes, and profaned His name.
* Sin is serious because of who it is against—God’s holiness.
* The Day of the Lord is darkness and judgment for the unrepentant.
Christ
* No one enters the kingdom unless they are born again.
* Jesus came to seek and save the lost and to save sinners.
* God became flesh and lived a perfect life so that he could take our sins on himself.
Response
* Our clear response: repent and believe.
* Repent—turn and agree with God about sin.
* Believe—rest fully on Jesus’ finished work.
* Baptism pictures dying to the old life and rising to new life in Christ.
So now what?
Turn from sin, trust Jesus alone, and celebrate the new life He gives—whether for the first time or as joyful obedience in the waters of baptism.
