Job Test 1: Do we seek after God only because of what he gives to us?
The Conversation
* Friends Mistake
-Insisted suffering = hidden sin.
-Urged Job to confess and be restored.
* Elihu’s Answer
-Elihu shows that suffering can be redemptive discipline—God uses pain to speak to us, turn us from evil, justify Himself, and reset our perspective to fear Him and trust His justice.
* God’s Response
-God gives no full explanation for suffering; instead He displays His unmatched wisdom and power.
The Test for Israel (and Us)
