I. We’re Called to Holy Living
* A call to holy living, is a call to be sanctified
* Holy living calls for us to be at peace and in submission for God’s control over our lives and the world.
II. We’re Called to Obedience
* Because Moses spoke to God face to face, he proclaimed the very words of God. The people were therefore expected to listen and obey him.
* The Father has spoken from heaven and issued a clear, unmistakable command: Listen to Him.
* To love as we’re called to love, to consider others better than ourselves was not possible without the Spirit.
III. We’re Called to Faithfulness to the Word
* All scripture is God-breathed, men did not speak of themselves but as they were carried by the Holy Spirit, this is why we call scriptures the word of God.
* They are the very words of God and so profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
* The Holy Spirit empowers us to hear and receive these words as they truly are—the very Word of God delivered to us through the Spirit of Christ.
Our Challenge Going Forward:
* Look where we’ve been flirting with the world and repent and turn
* Determine what commands of Jesus we’ve been ignoring , start to obey
* Commit to time in the word that is not just reading but listening
* If you’ve never surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, today is the day. He has done everything necessary. Come to Him. Receive His forgiveness, His Spirt, His new heart.
