God Made Manifest

1.  Jesus as the Manifestation of God's Character or Nature.

* Jesus reflects and displays to creation all that God is.
* We know exactly what God is like and who he is because we can know Jesus.

2. Jesus as the Manifestation of God’s Plan.

* The coming of Jesus into the world, unveils God's eternal plan. At the center of that plan is God's purpose to save sinners.

* In Christ we see who God truly is. We also see what God has always planned to do: save sinners, reconcile the world to himself, and bring all things to their proper end under the rule of the Lamb.

3. Jesus Manifests God’s desire to be known by Us

* He sent Jesus to reveal His nature with perfect accuracy, precisely and exactly as He is. He devised a magnificent plan of redemption and faithfully carried it out to rescue us and draw us into intimate fellowship with Himself. The Lord has set countless things in motion across history to make this possible. All of this demonstrates the depth of His desire to be truly known by us.

* God has always intended more than rescue from sin. He has purposed that his people would truly know him in a deep, personal, and eternal way.

How do we come to know God?
* The Holy Spirit - be filled with the Holy Spirit and submit to him
* Scripture – God speaks to us mainly through the words of scripture. This is how God speaks to you
* Prayer  - an expression of reverence, prayer strengthens the relationship between believers and God
* The Church - This community of Christ is our family. In it we meet Christ in one another and experience His transforming power together.
