"The Resurrection Changes Everything"
Ephesians 3:1-13
An encounter with the risen Jesus changed Paul’s life, it changes the world and it changes all of us who hear and believe Paul’s message. This shows that the resurrection was a catalyst for monumental change.
1. The Resurrection Redefines Identity (note: v. 1-2)
Paul is an example that an encounter with the resurrected Lord changes one’s identity and how they see themselves!
2. The Resurrection Changes the course of Life (note: v. 3-8)
The resurrection redirects our path from personal ambition to a divine mission, often through sacrifice for a greater purpose.
3. The Resurrection changes the world (note: v.9-10 )
When God says that the manifold wisdom of God is now made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This is because they see what the Alliance and other denominations and churches now do around the world to honor and glorify God, all because Jesus was resurrected.
4. The resurrection changes us (note: v.11-13 )
Meeting the risen Jesus forces us to let go of titles, achievements, or past sins.
Encountering Jesus often means trading control for surrender, trusting His plan over our own
Every believer’s transformed life contributes to this cosmic mission. We all have a role, and no role is small or insignificant
So now what?
Examine what identity we are living out, is it a Christ given one?
Embrace the change the Lord has in store for us, individually and as a church.
