Who Are We Doing it For?

Who Are We Doing It For?  Christ and the Lost

Why Him?

Who is He?

A Miracle, more than a Decision

Being born again is a miracle from God.

The Miracle Continues

Salvation from the Gospel has four tenses:

Perfect Tense:

I have been saved from the pleasure of sin — repentance.

(Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19; 2 Timothy 2:25)

Past Tense:

I was saved from the penalty of sin — justification.

(Romans 3:21–26; Romans 5:9)

Present Tense:

I am being saved from the power of sin — sanctification.

(John 8:34; Romans 6:22–23; 2 Corinthians 5:17–18)

Future Tense:

I shall be saved from the presence of sin — glorification.

(1 Corinthians 15)

Application

This is why we do everything — for Christ and His gospel.

The who, the why, and the what.

All three questions this series has asked come back to this one answer. The Good News of Jesus Christ.
Go to Christ! Go to His cross. Believe and trust Him.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile" (Romans 1:16).

Another Who

Luke 19:10 — "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."

Christ first, always — and because of Him, the lost around us become a who we're doing it for too.
